I had surgery by a double board certified plastic surgeon. Is this due to the doctors technique? I'm so embarrassed when I wear pants since you can see the weird indentation on my butt. I was proud of my butt before, it was large but just wanted better shape. Now I feel depressed everytime I look in the mirror. Should I go to another surgeon for revision or give my original doctor a chance to fix it? I spent 15k for the surgery & liposuction plus 3k in massages & aftercare. Can I ask for a refund?
Answer: I had a BBL at the end of December 2018, why is my BBL bumpy and bad? Do I need a revision? (Photos) This is a function of technique and healing. These areas can be surgically excised. Contour irregularities can then be fat grafted. Discuss a revision with your double board certified PS.

Answer: Weird indentation after BBL Before photos are always very helpful to better evaluate the changes. That being said, what you experienced is not that unusual after BBL. As the transferred fat melts away it can take good local fat with it and leave behind irregularities and dents. Additionally, fat survival tends to be relatively poor in the bottom half of the buttock. You may attempt another round of BBL but with similar risks. I have had reasonable results leveling out or popping out similar irregularities using buttock implants. An in-person consultation would help determine your best next course of action. Glad to help.

Answer: BBL revision Dear LivinginSD, It is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but based on your photos, it looks like you might benefit from revision surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: BBL Revision Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) revision. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Unhappy with BBL result You posted rave reviews about your provider. Now all of a sudden you changed your mind? You outcome is a combination of your candidacy and how the procedure was performed. In other words some people have the potential of great outcomes while others don’t And some providers are good at what they do and others are not.We don’t have before and after pictures so we can’t make an assessment about the procedure Outcome. It appears the liposuction or grafting is somewhat uneven but you also have cellulite or connective tissue bands that are causing indentations. These connective tissue bands often make dimpling worse when volume is added. This is fairly predictable and can often be deciphered before surgery from an examination. Some improvements will most likely be possible with a revision. No one can tell you who you should see for a second opinion or revision.I suggest talking to provider first and foremost to get his input and see what he’s willing to do or recommends.you may also want to consider rewriting your review and make it more accurate describing your true experience. I think other Patients would appreciate hearing what your experience was like.in general each provider is responsible for their own work and unless there’s a good reason not to you should follow up with him.Being double board-certified it’s fairly irrelevant. It is sometimes used by some to differentiate themselves for self promotion purposes.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
